NETIL WEEKENDER 22nd and 23rd SEPTEMBER

Woohooo!! After a break over the summer due to other commitments, we're back trading at our old stomping ground.....NETIL MARKET THIS SUNDAY 23rd.

And from the press release, here's what to expect from the NETIL WEEKENDER:

Netil Market sits adjacent from Netil House and has long established itself as the place to head for vintage clothing, jewellery designers, niche accessories and up-and-coming labels. Our focus on great food, relaxed vibes and comfortable seating will be sure to sort any sore head. On Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd September we will be throwing a Netil Weekender, in conjunction with our rooftop members bar Netil 360. The weekend will be a celebration of everything that’s great about a weekend in Hackney – the best street food in London, music, shopping and, of course, drinks. Netil Market customers will also have exclusive access to Netil 360, with hot tubs, yurts and the best views in East London, for one weekend only. Day passes can be collected from stallholders with purchases. You are very welcome.

THAMES FESTIVAL THIS WEEKEND (8th and 9th SEPTEMBER)

Pia will be making her way down to the river this weekend for the Thames Festival! We're very excited about taking part in 'London’s largest outdoor arts festival and one of the most spectacular, feel-good London events of the year'. Expect a mixture of live music, dance, art installations, carnival, river races, street arts and of course top quality street food! www.thamesfestival.org

EXCITING NEWS!

As of Thursday 6th September we'll be doing a residency at The Last Refuge - an exciting new arts venue in an incredible warehouse space with an intimate bar and adjoining theatre. We'll be providing the food for their inaugural theatre season so pop in for a tipple at the bar, a freshly made piadina and a spot of theatre. WE FEAST!

We were recently part of a very exciting food festival called WE FEAST - a three day event with live music, art installations and delicious food stalls which took place in Guy's Quadrangle, London Bridge. With over 2000 visitors each day, we were busy! Thanks so much to the organisers and here's hoping we'll be back for FEAST 2 - watch this space. It was also at FEAST that we launched our re-brand. Thanks to the wonderful Cal for designing our fresh, new logo - we love it!
  

She has a name!!

Hooray! We have named our new member of the Piadina Pronta family PIA! Bless her, she's a cutie.

Her First Day Out!

I'm still trying to come up with a name for our little red beauty but that hasn't stopped her tearing around town over the last few days. Click on the photo below to see where she's been.....

Our whereabouts from 29th June - 2nd July

This weekend has suddenly filled right up....and I'm certainly not complaining!

Today, as usual, we'll be at Ely's Yard between 12 and 3. We're then heading South East tonight to The Last Refuge to serve at their ArtSlant event. Tomorrow we'll be back in Peckham Rye selling our wares at Bar Story from midday until the evening. And it just so happens to be the opening of Frank's Campari Bar across the road so here's hoping we'll have plenty of hungry punters! Sunday we'll be at the lovely Netil Market and then Monday from 8pm we'll be hanging out with Tom Jones at the Old Vic Tunnels for their summer fundraiser!

New addition to the family!

We've just had a special delivery all the way from the motherland. Oh yes, this little beaut will be out and about with us on the streets of London. She looks pretty great at the mo but just you wait until we have her fully dressed.....you won't miss her! Watch this space for future developments. 

We've moved!

Netil Market is our new Sunday home and we love it! There's a lovely, laid-back vibe and our fellow traders are a great bunch. Come down, grab yourself a fresh coconut water, couple that with a Piadina and you've got yourself the perfect hangover cure! We're there between 11-4 every Sunday.

Our recent trip to the motherland

Italia in a couple of weeks for a re-stock.....

Counting down the days to our trip to Italia where we'll be stuffing our faces with nonna's home cooked food and nonno's home-made salame and prosciutto crudo (parma ham). And whilst we're not discussing the next meal we'll be making more 'capuliato' - our homemade sundried tomato paste - as well as visiting our piadina, cheese and meat producers. La vita e bella!

La Piadina Pronta at The Last Refuge

We recently took our stall to a fantastic new arts venue in Peckham called The Last Refuge. It was the first time La Piadina Pronta ventured out of East London and it was well worth it! In fact so much so that we're back there for their first Rhythms at the Refuge event 'Penance' on Saturday 7th April. We'll be serving food all night alongside an awesome line up of music so head down for some Easter Bank Holiday fun!

Introducing Taleggio......

This week we’ll be offering a new type of cheese in our Piadine!

Taleggio is a semi-soft, washed-rind cheese from the Valtaleggio region in northern Italy, near Lombardy. It is aromatic yet mild in flavour and features tangy, meaty notes with a fruity finish. 

Taleggio with Prosciutto or Salame is the perfect combination and you’ll see how addictive it is when melted on our freshly made piadine! 

A succesful start to 2012!

Despite the cold weather, the punters were out in force yesterday and we got through a whole parma ham! Thanks to all those that made it down to see us.

We'll soon be introducing another delicious Italian meat known as Mortadella. For those of you that don't know, it's an Italian type salami originating from Bologna. It's made with finely minced pork and flavoured with spices including garlic, salt and pepper and is sometimes studded with pistachios or green olives.
